Many cut gemstones for sale throughout the world are produced in countries which promote manufacturing in, so called, sweat shop
conditions. These stones are cut in large volumes, as quickly as possible, resulting (in most cases) with a stone which any amateur faceting club would reject. At Cole Gemstones, great care is taken with each stone to provide a unique gem, cut using individual and sometimes intricate facet designs to enhance the stone to its full potential and value. Each stone is created as an artist would create and artwork, with vision and pride in bringing out the best in the particular piece.
All stones are cut by master cutter, Rodney Cole FGAA, member of The Gemmological Association of Australia, The Australian Facetor's Guild Limited and The Opal Association, except for boulder opal which is cut by master opal cutter, Michael Burfitt FGAA, President of the Opal Association.
